Ricardo Kapuka

WORLDART is proud to collaborate with AVA Gallery and ELA - Espace Luanda Arte to create our second annual residency project. In 2018 we hosted Nelo Teixeira from Luanda and this year it is the turn of Ricardo Kapuka, from Benguela, Angola. Kapuka will be working at a studio on the premises of AVA Gallery (35 Church Street) from November to January culminating in a solo exhibition of artworks that will open at both AVA Gallery and WORLDART on Saturday January 4, 2020. Ricardo Kapuka is a self-taught artist skilled in animation, graphic design, painting, and other mixed media, had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Angola and Portugal (where he lived from 1994 - 2009), as well as in Paris (AKAA 2019).
