RETRACING THE PAST… some lines can’t be traced - a solo exhibition by Dion Cupido

Dion Cupido’s latest exhibition of paintings, titled RETRACING THE PAST… some lines can’t be traced, opens at the WORLDART gallery in Cape Town on Thursday 2 May.

“With this show I explored painting in a more impulsive way, not focussed on the image so much, but more by the concept of painting and my narrative. My narrative has always been, and still is, a reflection of what your environment does to you. With each portrait I wanted to get to the heart of the subject and find its soul by painting more impulsively.”

The exhibition concludes on 30 May 2024.
