Robyn Pretorius
(b. 1988) lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
She started her art journey from a young age but only after a career shift committed herself to become a full-time artist. Armed with a body of new paintings she approached the art world with enthusiasm and in 2016 she was invited to have her first solo exhibition at Youngblood Gallery in Cape Town. This was followed by a commission for the South African Mint that was exhibited at the FNB Joburg Art Fair . The painting is now part of the SA Mint’s private art collection. Pretorius has since participated in a number of group exhibitions in Cape Town and abroad and is a committed artist in the early stages of her career who uses her art to uplift and convey a narrative which is greatly inspired by her community and personal experiences.
