2017 was another good year for us at WORLDART. We participated in the SCOPEAart Show in Miami for the first time with WOLRDART artist’s Norman O’Flynn and Kilmany-Jo Liversage. The atmosphere was awesome and their works were received really well!

Bastiaan van Stenis believes that most of us wear masks and that we live in a world where we feel the need to conceal things about ourselves. The title of the exhibition, If there is Something, refers not only to his curiosity but also questions perceptions about our sense of reality.

Vusi Beauchamp introduces his new solo exhibition Welcome to Banania at the Worldart gallery in Cape Town from 3-31 August 2017.
This is Beauchamp’s first solo exhibition with Worldart in which he presents new works that comment on the South African socio-political landscape, with a touch of humour.
The exhibition opens on First Thursday 3 August at 6pm.

When our gallery first opened its doors in 2006, one of our featured artists was Richard Scott – his input as well as the popularity of his work has been invaluable to Worldart.
His entrepreneurial approach to his art is one of the reasons that has made him an international success. It is exactly this that inspired his new painting series (accompanied by limited edition prints): it’s all about the cities he loves. One gallery in each city was approached to exhibit the relevant work and so, fittingly, Worldart will display his Cape Town series.

Johannesburg based artist Fringe will be introduced with his first solo exhibition to be held in Cape Town. His graffiti inspired mixed media works have proven to be popular in Johannesburg as people relate to his interpretation of a world that seems to be more obsessed with the wrong things than ever before. Fringe prefers to keep his real identity confidential and uses familiar popular images to express his views and ideas in an urban contemporary style.
