For the next edition of First Thursdays WORLDART will introduce new works by a young up and coming photographer Phumelele Kunene. Kunene’s series Inkosazana Yezulu (Goddess of the sky) is an exploration and celebration of the Nguni-speaking people of Southern Africa, their traditions and symbolism.

Newly graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, Valcarcel’s work explores the complexities and challenges she faces as a woman of colour. In addition, we have partnered with Warren Editions and will be displaying the works of Christian Nerf and Jan Henri Booyens.
The exhibition opens on First Thursday 1 February and will conclude on 23 February.
