WORLDART is pleased to present FREEDOM OF THE STREETS, a solo exhibition of paintings by Selvin November. The exhibition will run from 6 – 27 June at the WORLDART gallery in Cape Town. Words like “slavery” and “freedom” are sometimes used without much thought of its real meaning and implication to many people. For Selvin November, a forty nine-year old artist from Cape Town, these words have a particular meaning.

Walt Whitman’s words are also the title of Norman O’Flynn’s current solo exhibition at WORLDART in Cape Town. It is also a key to unlocking this intensely layered and visually dense exhibition of paintings. He presents us with snippets, proof if you will, of many different universes / realities, in space and in time.

Giovanna Biallo-Stone knows colour. Her paintings, that she refers to as “colour fields”, represent a sophisticated glance at colours and its effect on each other.
Claude Chandler had an eventful two years since his last solo exhibition in 2017. The list includes an artist’s residency in Germany which lead to gallery representation in Europe, exhibiting in Paris at the prestigious AKAA Art Fair and now, getting married.
From the 15th – 17th of February 2019, the 7th edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair (ICTAF) will return to the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Positioned as the leading art fair in Africa, ICTAF 2019 will include the foremost galleries from South Africa, the African continent, and abroad.
Joshua Pearse grew up in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown) and obtained a BA degree in Fine Arts from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town in 2018.
His graduate project, titled The Hunter and His Dog, will be on show at WORLDART from 7 – 17 February. This consists of a video installation, a sculpture and a large drawing.
Art Supermarket Hong Kong will be hosting a solo show by Norman O’Flynn from the 27 September – 21 January 2019.
A collection of Timekeepers rendered in O’Flynn’s characteristic “re-pop” style, conveying a tough attitude and social value against the violence and darkness in the world.
This will be Norman O’Flynn’s first solo show at Art Supermarket.
